Folding jeans, casual pants and sweatpants, sorting pants from shorts, long-sleeve shirts from short-sleeve shirts and having uniform hangers can dramatically change the look of a closet. All articles of clothing need to face the same direction. Arranging shoes by type and color also helps streamline the look. Shelves are used for storing t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, athletic wear, shorts, bathing suits and clothes for lounging around the home by color. Drawers outside of the closet are used for storing undershirts, socks and underwear. Belts and ties are hung separately on hooks designed for these items. They can be pulled out when choosing one or pushed back and hidden from view when not in use.
